Counselling Services

How many times in our everyday lives do we get listened to? I mean really listened to.

 

Often, we listen to respond, fix, give advice. It is my core foundation to provide a space where you can be heard no matter the topic and to give you the space to explore those thoughts without judgement and with compassion. 
 

Where appropriate, and given the approval of clients, I find using creative therapy a valuable tool to aid the process. This may look like working with clay, exploring sand tray or expressing what an image on a postcard means to you.
 

I work with all aspects that bring people to therapy, if I feel there is someone who would be able to provide you with specialist support outside of my knowledge then this is something we can discuss, and I can support you to access via signposting.  
 

It feels a hard task to find a short enough way to describe what sessions are like as often they are different week on week. One thing that is the same each session is my unconditional positive regard in a relaxed environment to leave the world behind for an hour.

 

I encourage you to take that hour, to give yourself permission to focus on yourself. Often sessions involve exploring the unanswerable existential questions that consume the mind.  A warm drink, surrounded by nature awaits.
